The Young Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers group (‘YGSWD’) was established in 2019 by Past Master Malcolm Craig. This initiative caters to our younger members aged 45 or under and enjoys a lively, less formal social calendar based in the London area.

The YGSWD is a community of young Liverymen who actively engage with our Trade Freemen and cultivate a broader social network.

The group comprises more than 70 young members from diverse backgrounds and professions. We organise events throughout the year with the goal of fostering connections and cultivating friendships.
Our past events include:
– Reception at the Royal Automobile Club
– Our annual Christmas celebration
– Visit of a brewery

We proudly nurture a deep affinity with the usage of gold and silver wires through our network of Trade Freemen. Our talented young members are represented by three distinct trade groups: Embroiderers, Jewellers/Silversmiths and Technology.
